Jeetendra Shankar popularly known as ‘Jeetu Shankar’ is the son of well-known Choreographer Pandit Bhima Shankar G. Kathak in the Indian Film Industry as well as on Stage. Jeetendra is not only a choreographer but is best in Tabla all over the Nation. Jeetendra started training in tabla under the tutelage of his grandfather as and then his father when he was about five years old. Jeetendra ji performed at many television concerts since the early age of eight years. Jeetendra has performed with many Ghazal artists in their concerts such Mr.Talat Aziz, Mr.Pankaj Udhas, Mr.Manhar Udhas, Mr.Rajendra Mehta, Neena Mehta, Mr. Ashok Kholsa, Mr. Rajkumar Rizvi, Gulam Ali, Ustad Mehandi Hasan and many more. He is an expert in fusion with his son Rishabh Shankar and Piyush Shankar. He also plays Tabla in one of the most popular serials of Asia “T.V.S. Sa Re Ga Ma” and also composed the tracks of India’s most famous television magnum “Mahabharat”
