What are the key initiatives and facilities of your institution for MADS (Music, Art, Dance and Sport) as beyond education?

Yes MADS must be a part of the curriculum which should be implemented in the overall activities of the students since it is a very necessary aspect and also a part and parcel of a student’s life.

What is your perspective of importance of MADS in overall development of students?

It is a proven fact that Music actually heals several diseases that is why we feel Music should be implemented in our college and with Music, other activities especially Dancing should also be a part of the routine in the college as it is the best way to maintain the physical fitness and Zumba can also entertain and relax the students.

What are the key achievements of your institutions/any students for MADS at national/international or other levels?

Since past 10 years, implementation of Sports in the curriculum has increased which triggers in overall development of one’s Physical Fitness. Our students have also achieved marvelous feat in various national level events, One of our students is also a Gunnies World Record Holder.

What are your suggestions to improvise MADS learnings at grassroots levels?

As a Senior college, we definitely have some space for conducting MADS’ activities, we also conduct inter collegiate fests to encourage students to participate in such activities.

What are your personal favorites in MADS and how you pursue it?

My personal favorite is Music as I love singing and I am a trained Classical Dancer, so Music and Dance are my personal favorites and I have also been a Dance instructor before teaching in college.

Any other thoughts you want to share related to MADS…

I feel that any student who is good in any field amongst MADS should be encouraged by the college, the institution must definitely look forward in taking initiative to support him/her which would enhance the student to bring a change in their overall behavior in the society and also maintain the physical as well as mental health, so I feel every college or institution must take initiative to implement MADS in their curriculum
