At what point in your life did you decide to take up HR as your career? What were the guiding / motivating factors?

In my first job itself I realised my passion was inclined towards Personnel / Hr activities and not software development for which I was hired for. Would always be thankful for then Admin Head who helped me realize and guided me towards Personnel / HR department.

HR is one practice that touches human lives directly. Do you think employers and specially HR Professional can play role in reducing stress levels of employees through various employee engagement initiatives?

HR should play a vital role in engaging and help employees cope up with work and stress.

What are some of the most important employee engagement initiatives related to Music, Art, Dance or Sports that you have taken in your career?

Had created a team called Fundoo immediately upon joining Infinx, this team ensures various employee engagement activities including Sports are created and implemented by this team.  Played a major role in designing and implementing our Annual Event (Inspire), where our employees are trained and they perform various activities like Dance, Singing, Skit etc. Also we have annual Sports events for employees.

Do you think time and cost for employee engagements are an investment for the organisation and can help in multi-fold returns?

Employee Engagement is one of the best investments for employee retention, motivation and performance of employees.  A well engaged employee would be much more productive than an unengaged employee.

Do you feel there is a need even to reach out to the family of employees so that they get better connected to the company? Have you undertaken any such initiative in your past or current organization?

I agree including family of employees would create a better bond with the organisation.  In future we would look at programs to involve family members too.

What is the one change that you would like to bring in HR practice that has potential to boost employees work-life balance?

Would look at more options where employees can work from home, without work getting impacted.  Planning to start seasonal sport events during weekends to boost employee bond and motivation

What are your personal interests in Music, Art, Dance or Sports and how do you continue to pursue it?

I relate to Music, Dance and Sports.  I am regular at playing sports like Lawn tennis, Batmintion , Cricket etc
